Long-Term Care Planning
It’s been particularly challenging for our firm to provide clients with comprehensive, in-depth, expert advice in the very specialized area of long-term care planning. That’s why we’re pleased to announce that we have retained the services of Allen Hamm, an expert in this area. Allen literally wrote the book on this subject–he’s the author of the book “How to Plan for Long-Term Care.” (We have complementary copies available for our clients; let us know if you’d like one.)
One of the services Allen is available to provide is objective, conflict-free advice to help our clients analyze whether or not LTC insurance is right for them. There is no sales pitch — buying LTC insurance may not be the right option for every family. He can also analyze existing LTC insurance policies, and can be an advocate at the time of claim on any LTC insurance policy that you might own. We’ve retained his services because we feel that this is a valuable resource for our clients, but of course, we are still involved in the planning process, especially in helping clients understand this decision in the context of their overall plan. There’s no charge to the JPH family for theses services, because we pay his firm by retainer for serving all of our clients.
In fact, we are the only firm in Atlanta with access to Allen’s expertise!
Medicare Planning
In addition, Allen’s firm can also assist clients with navigating the “Medicare maze.” As anyone who has approached age 65 knows, Medicare is a particularly complex area and one that is fraught with misinformation. Compounding the problem, there are many important choices that must be made in a relatively short period of time, especially right around age 65. Allen and his firm will now be available to make sure our clients sign up for Medicare (parts A and B, if appropriate) without penalties, choose the proper supplementary coverage (whether that be a Medicare Advantage Plan or a Medigap policy), sign up for the right Part D prescription drug plan, etc.
We are excited to begin working with Allen and the rest of the staff at Superior LTC.
